February fourteenth: a day of flowers, chocolate-covered strawberries, teddy bears, and lots of love. This Valentine’s Day, I wanted to understand the “heart” of TealHaus as part of my internship (I usually spend my time as a student at Furman University.)
To begin my investigation, I identified the core values of TealHaus, which are: empathy, curiosity, and humility. These core values each mean something to our team and each week, we actually select a team member who embodied one of the core values the week prior. This practice keeps them at the forefront of everything we do.
Our core values are the heart of how we operate, and we strive to work with clients who embody these same principles—those who recognize the importance of relationships, giving back, and making a difference. From nonprofit organizations to construction companies, our clients come from a diverse array of industries, each with unique goals that inspire us daily. As an intern, I am constantly amazed by the wide range of clients we partner with and how TealHaus never attempts a one size fits all marketing model but rather invests in companies’ individuality through deep relationships.
What we love most is that each of our clients is dedicated to more than just business success. They invest in their employees, celebrate their communities, and seek ways to bridge gaps and unite people. Whether it’s a small startup or an established industry leader, we see the passion they pour into their work—and that passion makes our collaboration so meaningful.
In everything we do, our clients trust us to help them tell their brand stories. But it’s more than just storytelling for us—it’s about understanding the heart of their business and their core values. We genuinely want to know what makes our clients’ hearts beat faster. This authentic connection fuels our creative process, and as we continue to partner with these incredible organizations, we feel honored to be a part of their journey.
For example, when we meet a new potential client, we do not start by asking them WHAT they do. We ask them WHY they do it. We dig deep to find that human spark of passion and drive. That’s why no two proposals are the same, and why we never push clients to move forward with a marketing plan that doesn’t align with their best interests.
As I concluded my Valentine’s inspired TealHaus investigation, I kept finding myself circling back to our core values because they best articulate the heart of who we are and how we operate. For one, we approach every client with empathy, ensuring we deeply understand their needs, challenges, and goals. By actively listening and putting ourselves in their shoes, we create marketing strategies that truly resonate. Curiosity drives our passion for innovation. We’re constantly seeking fresh ideas and new ways to grow brands, always pushing boundaries to deliver exceptional results. Lastly, humility ignites us to recognize that success is a shared journey, and we pride ourselves on working collaboratively with our partners. We celebrate every milestone from putting on events, sending birthday packages, and knowing that our collective effort leads to long-term growth and success.
All in all, this Valentine’s Day, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude. To our clients: Thank you for choosing us to help amplify your voice, share your mission, and celebrate all the wonderful things you do. We appreciate your trust in us—and we can’t wait to keep creating, learning, and growing together.
